Mathur Aqueduct

Constructed over the Pahrali River/Parazhiyar (originates in the Mahendragiri hills and flows through Kanyakumari district), it acquires its name from Mathur, a village located close to the hanging bridge, which is at a distance of about 3,000 meters from Thiruvattar town, Kanyakumari. The hanging trough is regarded as the one of the highest and longest hanging bridges in South Asia.
